Miracle Flights for Kids Gets Kids to the Treatments They Need

May 25, 2017

Thanks to Miracle Flights for Kids, a great many families of sick children have received the treatment those children needed, regardless of where in the United States the healthcare they needed was located. This nonprofit charitable organization will arrange to fly any patient who qualifies and two parents or guardians to wherever they need to receive treatment, follow-up care or to get a second opinion. This way, no family is denied care because they don’t have the money to pay for the current high cost of airfare. To be eligible for the program only requires a local doctor's referral, a confirmation of the appointment and income verification.

The overall goal of Miracle Flights for Kids is to see to it that all valid flight requests they receive are fulfilled quickly for any underserved family who needs such assistance. Over the 30-plus years since the charity was established in 1985, they have provided more than 100,000 flights covering more than 55 million miles to sick and injured children and their families. This type of service means a lot to those families who have received the treatment they needed for their children.

The reason people who work with Miracle Flights for Kids are referred to as “Miracle Makers” is because many of the parents and children whom they have helped think about them. The organization exists for one single purpose and they work in a compassionate way. That is because they know the only way they can continue to operate is by engendering trust in all concerned; not just sick children and their over ones, but also to the kind people who donate to their cause and the communities that support them, as well.
